Frequently Asked Questions
Is this tool free?
Yes. It is completely free with no limits and no signup required.
Does my video get uploaded?
No. Your video stays on your device. All processing happens locally in your browser.
What is the difference between Fast Cut and Precise Cut?
Fast Cut copies the video stream without re-encoding, so it finishes instantly but may start a few frames before your chosen start point (at the nearest keyframe). Precise Cut re-encodes the video for exact frame-level accuracy but takes longer.
What formats are supported?
MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI, MKV, and most other common video formats.
Why is the first trim slow?
On first use, the tool downloads a ~31MB WebAssembly video processor. This is cached by your browser, so subsequent operations start immediately.
Can I change the output format?
Yes. You can keep the original format, or convert to MP4 or WebM during trimming.
